New Year's Day

We spent New Year's Eve with some special friends Jon and Janea. We came home before midnight in order to have a better chance of arriving safely(intoxicated drivers). In Arnold Missouri people celebrated the New Year from 11:50 until about 12:15 by shooting guns and firing of tons of fireworks.

Got up early this morning with a little prompting from a whiny 18 month old. Fixed French toast for the family. Our plans include spending one last day with family over at my brother's house. We'll watch football and dine on Applebee's riblets. My brother is also a deep fry kind of guy so we'll have some homemade chips and other healthy greasy things.

We will head out for home tomorrow morning around 8 am. We usually stop in Carthage Missouri which is about 1/2 way. They've got the best Mexican restaurant, El Charros. Yes, it's all about food with me. It is going to be hard to commit to losing weight starting January 3rd. I"m claiming the victory!

Happy New Year. I pray good things for all my friends.

It is all about food. I look forward to watching you wrestle with a diet. :o) I'll be fully supportive and will join you in a fruit and vegetable soiree. If you have the energy after your long vacation, I know someone's car that could use a detail after a 3500 mile trek....I know you're excited!!

Reply to PIGS: See you Wednesday. If the weather is nice I could MAYBE get your car Friday morning. I have to stay home with the kids since the wife is going on a retreat. It would give me all day to clean it.

Reply to txgrl: Thanks. You too. Saw Victor Friday night. He dodged me Saturday. Something about taking his family to the Arch or Zoo.

El Charros is good but you seriously over rate them. I could name 5 Mexican places off the top of my head (not including chains) that are better (within 45 minutes of McKinney too).

I don't care WHAT you eat .... it's the SMELLS that come out of you that scare me. I think we are going to have to repaint :) after your visit......glad you guys came to town though and hope going back to work is not too bad.

Reply to BillyV: You could name them, but under my new "Victor plan" I can't eat those types of food.

Reply to Minhaul: You're talking about the whole gym. Those White Castles tore me up. The ones I ate for breakfast today haven't been too bad. Thanks for your hospitality.
